Babies born toِ women whoِ haveِ high blood pressure duringِ the early part ofِ their pregnancies haveِ anِ increased risk ofِ birth defects, a newِ study shows, andِ the drugs commonly usedِ toِ treat high blood pressure didِ not reduce thisِ risk.
