Blueberries and Strawberries May Ward Off Mental Decline
Women whoِ eat moreِ berries mayِ haveِ a lowerِ risk ofِ cognitive decline inِ old age, a newِ study suggests.
Researchers foundِ that women whoِ hadِ a higher berry intake delayed cognitive aging byِ up toِ 2.5 years, asِ shown byِ their scores onِ memory andِ thinking tests.
Blueberries andِ strawberries, whichِ haveِ high levels ofِ compounds called flavonoids, seemedِ to offer theِ greatest benefit, theِ researchers said.
